Favorite Steely Dan song: Rikki Don’t Lose that Number
Joanna is a founding member of Hey Nineteen and an incredible talent.
Jo-Anna has been singing professionally since she was 17, and has been the front person to bands both here in the U.S and in Italy where she lived for 16 years. During her time there she worked as a session singer, as well as a live performer, both front and backing vocalist for popular DJ’s and prominent Italian artists, which gave her the opportunity to tour and perform in large festivals alongside national and international acts. If you travel to Italy, it is very possible you will still hear some of her records on the radio, or in a dance club! Moving back in 2005, she has continued her passion for singing and is a proud founding member of Hey 19.
When she is not singing you will find her nerding out at one of her two amazing shops in Providence, Flipp Salon Apothecary and Botanic Providence.
